I watched a bit of the Mecum auction at Monterey the other day. An '89 328 GTB got bid up to $150k and sold. Jesus H Christ - when did 25 year old entry-level Ferraris double in value??

Thomas Magnum would also be jealous, since all he ever got to drive was the 308. :(

It’s a high price, but one factor is that it’s a GTB. It’s the rarer and arguably the better-looking variant of the 308/328.
The most common form of the car is still the targa-topped GTS. It’s not ugly, but the window line loses the beautiful fast quarter-window profile compared to the GTB.
I didn’t notice this subtle difference until recently. But once seen it cannot be un-seen.
